The trails have over the time developed routes along the southern coast up to Koggala, to the Cultural Triangle in the North Central Province, the Sabaragamuwa province at the foothills of the Central Highlands and the magnificent Central Highlands past seamless tea plantations and cascading waterfalls.

Cycling and Mountain Biking in the Central Highland The Central Highland of Sri Lanka offer enormous opportunities to tourists keen on cycling. With picturesque tea plantations and criss cross estate tracks, the Central Highland here calls for a serious Mountain Biking experience. The trails here connect you to the tea factories, villages and small towns.

Kandy is the ideal starting point for mountain biking in Central Highland of Sri Lanka. Beginning at Kandy, the mountain bikers prefer taking the trail over the Hantana Mountain range to reach Pusselawa. The ride further continues to the famous colonial hill station of Nuwara Eliya. The journey ends at Aggarapathana, and throughout your way you can rich birdlife as well as the scenic beauty of nature.

Cycling and Mountain Biking in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle The regular starting point here is Habarana, and cycling via Kandalama the World Heritage sites of Dambulla and Sigiriya can be reached in the same day. The trail covers the ancient capital of Polonnaruwa, a World Heritage Site. One can explore the ancient man made irrigation reservoir called “Sea of Parakrama”, which is a thrilling experience. The trail also offers scenic view arpund Giritale Sanctuary and Wasgamuwa National Park.
